Nursing homes

Monthly services of Holy Communion are conducted at nursing homes within the parish. Although these are held at the nursing homes, any member of the community is welcome to attend.

  • St Raphael’s Home for the Aged: 1st Tuesday of the month at 11:00 am
  • St Hilarion Nursing Home: 2nd Tuesday of the month at 10:30 am
  • Serene Nursing Home: 3rd Tuesday of the month at 11:00 am

Mothers’ Union, Australia

A dedicated group join together on the second Monday of each month to share in fellowship, hear guest speakers and support Anglicare and the Magdalene centre. Mothers’ Union, Lockleys work within the parish towards the Mothers’ Union, Australia principle aim:

The advancement of the Christian religion in the sphere of marriage and family life.

Bible study

Lying at the heart of our faith is the scriptures. This bible study gives an opportunity to explore the scriptures at a deeper level and how they are being lived out in our own day to day life. The bible study group meet together at 10:00 am on the first Thursday of the month.

Prayer circle

The prayer circle meets together on the last Wednesday of the month, commencing at 8:30 am with morning prayer. The prayer group maintains the prayer list within the parish and follows a programme of prayer for the world wide Anglican Church, Diocese of Adelaide and our parish.

Trading post

The trading post operates on Fridays and Saturdays from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm on eight occasions throughout the year. The trading post operates from the St Richard’s hall and offers a range of items from clothing, used furniture, tools, kitchen items through to just about anything for any room of the house. Donations of items for sale are always gratefully received.

St Richard’s bridge club

This social club operates fortnightly on a Wendesday afternoon from 12:00 pm until 3:00 pm. No matter what your skill level is, you are welcome to come along and join us for a game.

St Richard’s hall

Several community groups and organisations make use of St Richard's Hall to run activities on a regular basis; these include table tennis, probus and dance groups.

St Richard’s Hall is able to comfortably hold 100 people for a seated function, it is equipped with a kitchen, male, female and disabled toilets, and is accessible for people with disabilities. The hall is available for use at a nominal cost.
